Retired as Deputy Chief
Dennis Cobb retired as Deputy Chief from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police in 2007 where he served as Division Chief of Communications and Information Technology. He served in a variety of assignments over 24 years, including Field Training Officer, in-service training instructor, Homicide Captain as Crimes Against Persons Detective Bureau Commander, and Patrol Commander for the Las Vegas Strip working with private partners to assess and improve tourist industry safety and security.
Dennis now consults with organizations on improving operational effectiveness and organizational resilience. As a contractor, he presented the DHS Active Shooter Preparedness Workshop Since from 2015-2018. In 2014 as contract support to the DHS Office of Emergency Communications, he assisted in developing the National Emergency Communications Plan. He has taught criminal justice courses for University of Phoenix and is certified by FEMA as an Incident Command System instructor.
